Ted Talk Tuesday: Women Entrepreneurs, Example Not Exception

Allison Lami Sawyer is the CEO of Rebellion Photonics, an optics company that serves the oil and gas industry. She's also an entrepreneur, and it's no accident that she founded her own company. In fact, she went into business school hoping to become an entrepreneur, and volunteered at a startup incubator to connect with a business partner. That's exactly what she did.

Allison is just one example of a woman who wanted to start her own business and did it. Gayle Tzemach Lemmon says that women all over the world, even those in war-torn places, have that same entrepreneurial spirit, and we're unfairly marginalizing them by treating their drive and enterprising spirit as exceptional rather than commonplace.
