Earlier this week, First Lady Michelle Obama announced an exciting new initiative, The United State of Women. There will be a summit next week in Washington, D.C. full of terrific-sounding seminars. You can also get involved- there's information on local events and a blog. Plus, you can create photos with one of the pledges in the picture above, or write your own pledge, and share them on social media with #StateofWomen.
I'm excited about how the United State of Women charges us all to take an active role to making the world a more equal place for women, and a better place for us all.
