Spotlight on Street Artist Starfighter

August 16, 2016

Lizy Dastin is actually one of my dearest friends, and it's been so much fun seeing Art and Seeking take shape and grow. One of the biggest perks is getting to see street art with an expert. I've been on her downtown tour, and gone scouting for cool works with her. Last February, we were seeking street art and exploring works tagged #smilesouthcentral when we came across this beautiful mural by Starfighter aka Christina Angelina. You can see her at work on it here.

Lizy interviewed Starfighter for Art and Seeking about her work and her approach, below. You can also learn about her transition from working in more traditional media to street artist.

On My Mind...
March 2, 2018

After a January that felt like it lasted forever, February flew by. I'm happy it's March because it finally feels like the days are getting longer, I'm starting to see green things coming up from the ground, and it's Women's History Month. While we celebrate women's accomplishments all year round, it seems like I always learn about lots of cool women and their contributions every March...
