I am a big fan of Emily Graslie and the Brain Scoop, and so I am very excited to be featuring her on Girls Like You and Me today! Emily found a way to share her enthusiasm and excitement about the natural world with the world on her own YouTube channel. The Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago saw her videos, and hired her as their Chief Curiosity Correspondent.

Growing up in rural Mississippi, Amanda thought she'd grow up to... move away from Mississippi. Along the way, she studied music education, went to law school, and realized that she didn't like practicing; she liked research and fact-finding. Amanda decided to follow the parts of law she enjoyed and became a law librarian. 

I'm spending the day working from kind of a strange place: a Greyhound bus.I'm on my way to visit friends. One of the great things about making my schedule is that I can do things like take a mid-week trip. I had to do more work over the weekend, but I'm going to get to have a fun on a Wednesday. It's a good tradeoff.
